I thought I would add a little about me post today.
My name is Aaron Gilmore. I live in Madison WI with my girlfriend and our two cats. I graduated from MATC Madison in Graphic Design and Illustration in Dec. ‘07. I decided to freelance after graduating. And it turned out to be exactly what I wanted to do even though I explored some graphic design positions. The art I do is varied. I never liked doing just one style or approach so I’ve done everything from comics to designing logos, t-shirt graphics, posters, fine art paintings/drawings and most recently I illustrated The Adventures of Juice – Summertime for writer Scott Smith. I’m very proud of this book and even though it’s gone through 50 some edits and was frustrating at times, it wouldn’t have been as good without those changes. We have been working on getting it out there for a number of months but we finally made a publisher decision and are setting up to send our first submission this October.
*update* Summertime – The Adventures of Juice has been sent to New York to the hopefully receptive Lee and Low Book Publishing Company!

October 1st 2009.
Well, It’s really Sept. 30th but in 3 hours it’ll be October. I just finished uploading work onto my first .com site! Thanks Paul for helping me out with it! I will be posting updates on all 3 pages, Prints, illustrations and the Home page regularly. Bare with me here as I might make changes as far as the layout of the site and everything. Hope you enjoy the work and feel free to drop a comment or two on some posts about the work, the new site, crits and comments are welcome as well.
